We'll rise together

We got second place!

My entry for ~SeizeTheDayStables's New Year's show

"Come on already! Let's go!" Josie begged, running down the steps of the house and towards the trailer. The snow was finally beginning to melt, but some was still left in places.
Behind her trailed her brother and Liam, carrying boxes of feeds, rugs and clothing. They loaded the equipment in the back of the trailer with the horses and shut the door, ready to get on the road.
"Let's do this thing!" William grinned and joined the others on the front of the trailer. Soon, they were off to the show.

After an hour or so, they arrived at SeizeTheDayStables. Josie had mounted Fly and was ready to go for the show jumping. They paced up and down, while Josie imagined the course in her head.
'Would the next competitor - Josie Appleby - please enter the arena.' Announced the loudspeaker.
Josie halted Fly and watched as the horse and rider before them trotted out from the arena. She bit her lip, all those months of training had better come in handy.
Liam and Colin approached her, and Liam handed her a short whip.
"You ready?" He asked, his hand caressing Fly's muzzle.
"As ready as I'll ever be!" She gathered her reins and smiled.
Before long, Josie had established a working canter from Fly in the arena, who was as active yet calm as usual. They came up to the first jump, and the mare leapt over the obstacle.
